Lessons

I teach private violin, viola, and piano lessons at my home in Steelton, PA. I have nine years of teaching experience. Feel free to call or email me for more information or to schedule private lessons for yourself or your child.

Violin & Viola - I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced students ages seven to adult.

Piano - I teach beginning and early intermediate students ages five to adult.

Prices and Payment

Weekly lesson costs are as follows:

30 minute lesson: $20.00
45 minute lesson: $30.00
1 hour lesson: $40.00

Family Discount - First student at regular price, each additional student: 30 minute lesson $15.00, 45 minute lesson $22.50, 1 hour lesson $30.00

Payment is made on a month by month basis. Payment for lessons is due in advance at the first lesson of each month and can be made in the form of cash or check. If at that time you know there is a lesson you will not be able to attend during that month (vacations, school events etc), you do not need to include payment for that lesson. Please alert me of the lesson that will be missed.

Tardiness

Students are expected to be on time for their lessons. It is necessary for each student to be courteous to the teacher and the other students, regarding time. If you are late, please do not assume I can extend your lesson time.

Cancellation Policy

A 24 hour notice is needed in order to cancel a lesson. You can contact me by phone or email. In case of illness or family emergency, please contact me as soon as possible.

A maximum of one out of every eight lessons may be made up. In special circumstances (including weather), more lessons may be made up at my discretion. Parents are responsible for rescheduling missed lessons.

In the event of snow or freezing rain, lessons may be cancelled at the parent's discretion.

Failure to practice is not an acceptable excuse for missing a lesson, and lessons missed for that reason will not be rescheduled.

Two weeks of notice is required to terminate lessons. This is a courtesy that gives me time to schedule new students in that time slot.

Holidays

Lessons will not be scheduled on the following holidays:

Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
